In the early 1960s, Eve settled permanently in London with her son, Frank and began to work seriously with colour photography while working for the Sunday Times. She was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award from the American Society of Magazine Photographers in 1980 and made an Honorary Fellow of the Royal Photographic Society in 1993. Ten years later, she was awarded an OBE. She passed away in London in 2012, aged 99.
