Sally Gall

Sally Gall's images are renowned for their powerful and yet subtle use of metaphor and symbolism. She travels to remote areas of the world, capturing scenes with her unique vision which stir our deeper sense of spiritual connection with nature. Sometimes comforting, sometimes intriguing.

Gall was born in 1956 and grew up in Houston, Texas and graduated with a B.F.A. from Rhode Island School of Design in 1978. She went on to collect numerous awards including the Arts Hoyt DeGoyler Memorial Fund Award and the Moonhole Residency from the Eglehard among others. Her work is in major museum collections such as the San francisco Museum of Modern Art, the Guggenheim Museum, New York, and the Bibliotheque National, Paris.

She has also published two books The Water's Edge and Subterranea, which further explores the sensuality of the world around us. Galls work touches our inner and outer senses and reminds us of the transience and tenuity of lifes seasons
