Exhibition and Benefit Sale in Support of
Lao Friends Hospital for Children
Presented during Lao Art Week at T’Shop Lai Gallery in Vientiane, Beyond the Gaze brings together 11 large-format portraits created by Ivan Friedman during three years of photographic work across Laos.
The exhibition supports Friends Without A Border, the non-profit organization founded by Japanese photographer Kenro Izu. His humanitarian work eventually led to the creation of Lao Friends Hospital for Children in Luang Prabang, which has been providing free medical care to children since 2015.
Curated and produced by photographer Adri Berger, the exhibition brings photography and humanitarian action together. All proceeds from the sale of Ivan Friedman’s works will be donated to Lao Friends Hospital for Children.
